FAQs

Originally used as a treatment for diabetes, Semaglutide has now been approved by the FDA for weight loss management. Known as a GLP-1 receptor agonists, Semaglutide mimics a naturally released hormone in the gastrointestinal tract in response to eating. It triggers the release of insulin by the pancreas, which slows the stomach from emptying leading to feeling full longer. Semaglutide also affects parts of the brain that reduce appetite and signal a feeling of fullness.

Semaglutide is administered weekly via a subcutaneous (under the skin) injection. Doses begin at 0.25mg weekly for 4 weeks, then titrated up monthly (up to 2.4mg weekly). Dosing is individually based and can be determined and closely monitored by one of our healthcare professionals.
At Reach Revive, we have 2 options for administration.
1) Schedule a weekly appointment and one of our healthcare professionals will administer your Semaglutide.
2) Schedule an appointment to pick up 4 prefilled weekly syringes of your prescribed dose and administer to yourself at your convenience. This option allows you to pick up monthly.
